Effects of a Structured Physical Educations for Spinal Surgery Patients on Daily Living Function

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this review study was to analyze the effects of a structured physical educations(SFE) on daily living function for patients with spinal surgery.

Methods: Strategies were explored to locate published studies. Pubmed databases were searched for randomized controled trials from 2006 to 2012; these trials included patients with spinal surgery. The search terms included spinal surgery, physical education, function, booklet and video clip.

Results: Seven study reports were identified for the systematic review. Their exercise training is conducted using booklet, video clip, etc. There is strong evidence to suggest that SFE are effective in improving daily living function for patients with spinal surgery.

Conclusion: Structured physical education may be effective for spinal surgery patients on daily living function.
